Arrowhead Star (16"x16"x1")
This is a hand-pieced quilt square from the 1900’s which was unfinished. The two inner borders were added by Suzi, and then she quilted and
finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. The turn of the century
fabrics are a pleasure to have on display in one's home. |

Basket of
blues (16"x16"x1")
This is a hand-pieced quilt square from the 1930’s which was
unfinished. This is one of Suzi's first "found" quilt squares and
therefore it is a favorite art piece. Suzi quilted and finished it in
1984 with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. Suzi hangs this piece on point
as well as many others that are "balanced" designs. |

Brown Beauty (16"x16"x1")
This is a hand-pieced quilt square from the 1900’s which was unfinished. Suzi's
knowledge of antique quilts started in Barbara Brackman's workshops. The fabric
selection is so special, the creator must have been a most unique woman. All art pieces
are sprayed with a stain resistant product. |

Butterflies
Are Free (24"x24"x1")
This was appliqued in the later 1930’s, but never finished into a quilt. The
background diamond quilting is done with masking tape marking the lines to be stitched. The framing process is as simple as 1-2-3-Done. |

|
Easter Trip (22"x22"x1")
This is a traditional trip around the world or postage stamp pattern, pieced in the
1930’s. Suzi finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. The actual
finishing process takes less than 30 minutes. |

Grandmother’s
Flowergarden (24"x24"x1")
This was hand-pieced in the later 1940’s, but never finished into a quilt. Suzi
quilted and framed it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method and made it into a
stunning art piece. Suzi was commissioned to do a similar piece with five of the client's
heirloom flowers connected horizontally. It was hung as a headboard 18" above the bed. |

Poinsettia (22"x22"x1")
This is a hand-appliqued quilt square from the 1930’s which was unfinished. Suzi
added the center dark green strips which gave direction and contrast to the art piece. She
then quilted and finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. The way you
finish family art pieces will have a great influence on whether they are passed on as
family heirlooms. |

Rose of Sharon
(18"x18"x1")
This appliqued center was done around the 1940’s and never finished into a quilt.
Suzi quilted and finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. This is a
nice idea to do with family pieces which are tucked away and almost forgotten. Suzi brings
many of her art pieces when she does programs through out the nation. |
