Dresden Flowers   (24"x24"x1")
This was hand-pieced in the later 1940’s, but never finished into a quilt. Suzi quilted and finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method and made it into a beautiful piece of family art. All pieces are sprayed with a stain resistant product.

Titanic Glory    (24"x24"x1")
Suzi purchased six of these crazy patches that were made by a woman who had been scheduled on the Titanic. She made these later after safely arriving in the U.S.A. Her family didn't want the squares. The one on the right is framed in the "Suzi's Hang Art" method and is on permanent display in Suzi's home.

Art Pieces

Bremerton Beauty    (10"x10"x1") Judy Stephenson from Silverdale WA, created over 40 of these machine embroidered art pieces. They were gifts to the Japanese sister city delegation. Instead of giving small quilts (almost more like pot holders), Judy chose the "Suzi's Hang Art" method. Suzi delivered the second batch of frames and completed nineteen finished pieces in under four hours.

George’s Star    (26"x26"x1")
These fabrics are Ribbons of Social Concern. Red is for AIDS, pink is for breast cancer, yellow is for missing in action and purple is for violence. Suzi made numerous quick-triangle squares and her dear friend George created this wonderful star. George has Since died of aids. Suzi is involved with AIDS as well as being on the Planned Parenthood Board, thus the pink and purple ribbons. Our hope is that birth control will always be available so all children are planned and cherished. Suzi is speaking as the mother of two adult children and 20 foster teenagers.

Fans of the 30’s   (26"x26"x1")
These fans were created by taking apart numerous Dresden Plate quilt squares and using purple and green petals to make fans. After quilting it, Suzi finished it with the "Suzi’s Hang Art" method. A dear friend purchased this for her daughter-in law. Suzi likes to display quilted textile art on the diagonal, when appropriate. This gives a whole new look and the piece actually appears almost one and a half times larger.
